About Susie

bio picSusie is the former editor of Curbed SF, College OTR and SuperVegan.com and she holds a masters in journalism from Columbia University. She’s worked with McSweeney’s Quarterly, Spot.Us, the SF Appeal, the SF Public Press, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, SF Weekly, the Daily Cross Hatch, Anthem magazine and many other fine publications. She’s created radio documentaries about thrift store owners with big dreams and hipsters shucking their white guilt by eating trash. Susie and her work have also been featured on Vegansaurus, in Twitter Wit, Forgotten New York and the Columbia Journalism Review, among others. She was the October 2009 cartoonist in residence at the Charles Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, California.

Susies’ non-fiction comics are distributed in the book trade by Microcosm Publishing and Sparkplug Comic Books. Her series “Nine Gallons” will be published in chapters by Microcosm starting in the summer of 2010.
